Stained Glass Kachina

This stained glass panel is that of the Eagle Kachina commonly known throughout the Native community.

I actually made two of these panels. The first one was for my grandmother who maintains an extensive Kachina doll collection. She has lived in the Scottsdale area since the late 1950's so has quite the collection.

The second piece was sent to the Etsy main offices located in Brooklyn, New York.

Each of these pieces vary slightly from the other to give them a true one-of-a-kind piece of artwork.

The background on each panel is actually open. I created the glass Kachina and wanted it to really stand alone in all its glory. So I simply attached a glass frame around the dancer and viola!
