Limes for a Friend
In my opinion - there is nothing that is more flattering than an artist using something I've photographed as the subject of her painting.
I had picked up some small key limes in anticipation of making a pie for dessert. I placed the limes into a small crystal bowl so I could look at them for a day or two.
One afternoon as I was going outside to photograph some glass pieces I had recently made - I picked up the bowl of limes to see how they would photograph in the lazy afternoon Arizona sun.
The photo shown above is my favorite shot of the limes. The green grass in the background really accents the green in the rind.
I guess I never realized that the seeds inside key limes had any color.
